Regional Round in PIC

On Thursday, February the 11th , 2010, a regional round of a competition of the high schools in processing information on a computer - PIC, was held in Banská Bystrica. The condition of the participation in this competition was the typing speed of 270 net hits per minute.The girls from our school - Denisa Valocková and Kristina Hanusová (second grade)- participated in the competition together with a teacher of a typing Anna Germanová.31 students from nine schools, mostly commercial academies, where the subject typing is taught for four years took part in the event.. Also the winner became a girl from 4th grade of the Commercial Academy in Brezno Janka Dudášová with 392 net hits per minute. I am glad that we could be present at the competition and thus demonstrate that even at EGT are the excellent typists. It is interesting that the pupils of other gymnasiums have no opportunity to obtain these skills.

Krajské kolo SIP

Vo štvrtok 11. februára 2010 bolo v Banskej Bystrici krajské kolo súťaže žiakov stredných škôl v spracovaní informácií na počítači – SIP. Podmienkou účasti bola rýchlosť písania 270 čistých úderov za minútu.Z našej školy sa súťaže zúčastnili žiačky druhého ročníka Denisa Valocková a Kristína Hanusová spolu s vyučujúcou predmetu základy administratívy Annou Germanovou.Na súťaž bolo prihlásených 31 žiakov z deviatich škôl, prevažne obchodných akadémií, kde sa tento predmet vyučuje celé štyri roky. Aj víťazkou bola žiačka 4. ročníka z Obchodnej akadémie v Brezne Janka Dudášová s výkonom 392 čistých úderov za minútu.Som rada, že sme mohli po prvýkrát ísť na túto súťaž a tak dokumentovať, že aj na EGT sú vynikajúce pisárky. Je zaujímavé, že na iných gymnáziách žiaci nemajú možnosť tieto zručnosti získať.
