Floorball tournament
On Friday, December 16, 2011, EGT organized a floorball tournament on the ocassion of the 20th anniversary of the foundation of our school. The event was held in the gym of the Technical High School in Tisovec. The teams from Gymnasium of Matej Hrebenda in Hnúšťa, the Technical High School in Tisovec and organizing team (EGT) attended the tournament.
After the opening speech of the principal Helena Pašiaková and instructions of the tournament organizers, the matches began. First, the organizing team EGT beat THS Tisovec 12:3. THS then went down to Gymnasium of Matej Hrebenda 4:9. Therefore the last match was the finals and our team defeated GMH 10:6 in it. Thus EGT became the winner of the tournament.

Florbalový turnaj
V piatok 16. decembra 2011 EGT zorganizovalo florbalový turnaj pri príležitosti 20. výročia založenia školy. Podujatie sa uskutočnilo v telocvični Strednej odbornej školy v Tisovci. Na turnaji sa okrem usporiadateľského tímu zúčastnili družstvá Gymnázia Mateja Hrebendu v Hnúšti a Strednej odbornej školy v Tisovci.
Po úvodnom príhovore riaditeľky Heleny Pašiakovej a pokynoch organizátorov turnaja, začali samotné zápasy. Najskôr usporiadajúce družstvo EGT zdolalo SOŠ Tisovec 12:3. SOŠ-ka následne podľahla aj Gymnáziu Mateja Hrebendu 4:9. Posledný zápas bol teda finálový a v ňom náš tím zvíťazil nad Gymnáziom MH 10:6. Stal sa teda víťazom turnaja.
