Orange Foundation - Give Christmas

On Thursday, December 19, 2013, of the week before Christmas, the upper room of the Cultural Center in Tisovec became a place where a little bit of Christmas happened.
A few children from families with difficult backgrounds took part in a Christmas program, which was prepared by volunteers from EGT. We were able to run this project due to the program of Orange Foundation, Give Christmas, which supported our budget for preparing sauerkraut soup and workshops. Girls from the 3rd, 4th and 5th year of EGT baked the pastries that we decorated with the kids and laid on the Christmas table with the soup.
Before we got to sit around the Christmas table together, we had decorated the tree, we played and sang together and we were reminded about the first Christmas and the first Christmas gift that was given to the world when God, because of His love, sent His Son into this world.
Due to open-handed donors from Tisovec Lutheran Church and EGT, we had enough clothes and toys to put into children's gift boxes and make their Christmas a little bit more pleasant. We'd like to thank all who helped with the organization of this Christmas afternoon and who, according to the project's heading – Be a gift yourself at Christmas, contributed with their time and skills and thus enhanced the time we spent with children.
The special thanks go to children's workers who provided the Christmas tree for us, brought the children and helped with the organization.

Darujte Vianoce Nadácie Orange

Vo štvrtok (19. decembra 2013) predvianočného týždňa zažila horná sála MSKS v Tisovci kúsok Vianoc. Niekoľko detí zo sociálne slabších rodín sa zúčastnilo Vianočného programu, na ktorého príprave sa podieľali aj dobrovoľníci z našej školy. Tento projekt sa uskutočnil vďaka programu Darujte Vianoce Nadácie Orange, cez ktorý sme získali prostriedky na prípravu Vianočnej kapustnice a tvorivých dielni k vianočnému popoludniu.
Dievčatá z 3., 4. a 5. ročníka napiekli vianočné pečivo, ktoré sme s deťmi ozdobili a položili na vianočný stôl spolu s vopred pripravenou kapustnicou. Kým sme si spoločne sadli k Vianočnému stolu, ozdobili sme stromček, hrali sme sa, spievali a pripomenuli si Vianočný príbeh a prvý Vianočný dar, ktorý bol svetu daný keď Boh z lásky k ľuďom poslal na tento svet svojho Syna.
Vďaka ochotným darcom z tisovského ECAV zboru a z EGT sme nakoniec aj my mohli odovzdať deťom dary na spríjemnenie tohtoročných Vianoc – balíčky v ktorých si mohli nájsť teplé oblečenie a hračky.
Vďaka patrí všetkým, ktorí akokoľvek pomohli s prípravou tohto popoludnia a ktorí podľa názvu projektu – Na Vianoce darujme aj seba – darovali niečo zo svojho času a schopností aby obohatili spoločný čas, ktorý sme s deťmi prežili.
Osobitná vďaka patrí pracovníčkam s deťmi, ktoré zabezpečili vianočný stromček, priviedli deti a pomáhali zabezpečiť hladký priebeh stretnutia.
