The second weekend of October (14-15, 2017) was the weekend of a spectacular hiking adventures for the two groups of girls participating in the DOFE (The Duke of Edinburgh's Award) and a few courageous EGT students.
The group of fourth years has accomplished the plan of their adventurous journey hiking in the breath-taking scenery of the National park Muránska planina. On Friday, they started their expedition from the saddle of Zbojská to the saddle of Burda through the highest peak of Muránska planina - Fabova Hoľa. After sleeping in the cosy wooden shelter Burda, they continued all the way through Nižná Kľaková and Hrdzavá valley to the final destination - Muráň.
The second group (the group of third years) had chosen to accomplish the qualifying journey surrounded by the peeks of Poľana. Both of the groups have successfully accomplished all 20 of the required conditions for the adventurous journey and may apply for a bronze certificate within the DOFE program.
A few adventurers set on a beautiful 5-hour autumn hike to Veľký Choč on Saturday. Those who have participated in the hiking activities enjoying the wonderful weather of Indian Summer, will long remember this adventurous weekend.

Dobrodružný víkend EGťákov
Druhý októbrový víkend (14.-15. októbra 2017) bol pre dve skupiny dievčat z programu DofE (Cena vojvodu z Edniburgu) a taktiež pár odvážlivcov zo školy naladený na turistické dobrodružstvo.
Skupina dievčat 4. ročníka plnila program dobrodružnej kvalifikačnej expedície v národnom parku Muránska planina. V piatok sa vydali zo sedla Zbojská do sedla Burda cez najvyšší vrch Muránskej planiny Fabovu hoľu. Prespali v útulni na Burde a druhý deň pokračovali cez Nižnú Kľakovú a Hrdzavú dolinu do Muráňa.
Skupina dievčat z 3. ročníka si vybrala za cieľ svojej expedície detviansku Poľanu.
Obe skupiny splnili všetkých požadovaných 20 podmienok kvalifikačnej expedície a môžu sa uchádzať o získanie certifikátu na bronzovej úrovni v rámci programu DofE.
Turistické dobrodružstvo si zažilo aj pár odvážlivcov pri výstupe na Veľký Choč. Počasie bolo nádherné a tí, ktorí sa turistických aktivít zúčastnili, budú na toto dobrodružstvo ešte dlho spomínať.
