Visit to Brussels

On 16th to 17th of October, 2017, I - the member of the last year's company G.E.T. Ester Magyarová - together with the teacher Ladislav Čajko set off to visit our Slovak representative in European Union Jana Žitňanská to Brussels.
On Monday after we had landed we arrived to European Parliament where we met with Mrs. Žitňanská and her whole team. Then we moved to lunch which was full of pleasant conversations not just about us, our last year's work, and about our school, but also about the work in European Parliament itself, and about the problems that Mrs. Žitňanská is currently dealing with. We didn't miss out the tour of European parliament either, and we even had the opportunity to attend the meeting of some of the representatives about prevention of cancer in women.
After that we visited Parlamentarium – a very interestingly and interactively made visitors' centre of the European Union.
Unfortunately on Tuesday our program with Mrs. Žitňanská was cancelled due to some of her urgent job duties. Despite that, we did not idle and set off to explore truly magnificent historical part of the city, where we also tried typical Belgian waffles. In the evening we went to the airport and flew safely back home.
For this remarkable opportunity our thanks go to JA Slovakia, an organization that deals with education of young people in the area of economy for 25 years. We truly appreciate it! Thank you very much once again!

Návšteva v Brusseli

V dňoch 16.-17. októbra 2017 sme sa ja - členka minuloročnej firmy G.E.T. Ester Magyarová - spolu s pánom učiteľom Ladislavom Čajkom vybrali navštíviť našu europoslankyňu Janu Žitňanskú do Bruselu.
V pondelok po prílete sme sa dostavili do Európskeho parlamentu, kde sme sa s pani Žitňanskou a celým jej tímom zoznámili. Presunuli sme sa na obed, kde sme strávili príjemný čas rozhovormi nielen o nás, firme a našej škole, ale aj o samotnej práci v parlamente a súčasných problémoch, s ktorými sa pani Žitňanská zaoberá.
Nechýbala ani prehliadka parlamentu, a dokonca sme dostali príležitosť zúčastniť sa zasadnutia niekoľkých europoslanov na tému prevencie rakoviny u žien. Následne sme navštívili Parlamentárium – veľmi zaujímavo a interaktívne spracované múzeum o Európskej únií.
V utorok nám na naše poľutovanie odpadol program s pani Žitňanskou, ktorá ho musela kvôli náhlym pracovným povinnostiam zrušiť. Napriek tomu sme nezaháľali, a vydali sa preskúmať naozaj krásnu historickú časť mesta, kde sme ochutnali pre Belgicko veľmi typické wafle.
Večer sme sa dostavili na letisko, z kade sme šťastne doleteli späť domov.
Za túto výnimočnú príležitosť vďačíme JA Slovensku, organizácií, ktorá sa vzdelávaním mladých ľudí v oblasti ekonómie venuje už 25 rokov. Veľmi si to vážime a srdečne ďakujeme!
