Eaglet v utečeneckom tábore

Dňa 18. decembra 2014 sa členovia študentskej spoločnosti Eaglet vybrali do utečeneckého tábora v Opatovskej Novej Vsi. Aj keď sa toto podujatie organizovalo už po štvrtý krát, ani tento rok študenti netušili, čo od výletu môžu očakávať. Aj keď sme sa na túto charitatívnu akciu pripravovali - zorganizovali sme úspešnú zbierku a prichystali si krátky program - ani jeden z nás sa nemohol pripraviť na emócie, s ktorými sme sa stretli.
Ako sme mohli zistiť hneď pri príchode, v tábore nás už netrpezlivo očakávali, najprv nám pomohli s plným kufrom tašiek, ktoré sme pre nich doniesli a všetci sme sa stretli tvárou v tvár v spoločenskej miestnosti, kde sa na nás zvedavo pozerali tváre z rôznych kútov sveta – napríklad Sýrie, Vietnamu či Afganistanu.
Najprv sme boli všetci trochu nesmelí ale po programe a krátkom občerstvení, kde sme prehodili pár slov, sa atmosféra uvoľnila. Dozvedeli sme sa o ťažkých životných osudoch utečencov, no napriek tomu aký neúprosný k nim život bol, sme na ich tvárach nebadali nič iné ako úsmev a dobrosrdečnosť. Najmilšie však boli deti, ktoré nám zatancovali a zaspievali a nezabudli nás pri odchode vyobjímať. Dovoľujem si povedať, že po chvíli nás bez okolkov prijali medzi seba a pri odchode som sa cítila ako členka ich malej komunity.
Keď sme nasadli do auta ešte stále plní dojmov, spájali nás podobné myšlienky. Alex povedala: Bol to pre mňa silno emotívny zážitok a dojalo ma ako sa ľudia dokážu tešiť z maličkostí. Vanes súhlasila: Pre mňa takisto, veľa mi to dalo a uvedomila som si, aké šťastie v živote máme. Kika už len dodala: Vďaka takýmto ľuďom si človek uvedomí, čo všetko má, no boli tu aj takí, ktorí sa sústredili na šťastné spomienky. Napríklad Silvia zdôraznila: Mňa veľmi potešilo, že sa títo ľudia dokážu stále usmievať. Aj Dávid s Frederikom súhlasili: Mňa táto skúsenosť naučila, že aj tí, čo sami potrebujú pomôcť chcú potešiť iných. Presne tak, je dôležité vážiť si aj tie najmenšie veci, čo máme lebo o nich môžeme zo sekundy na sekundu prísť.
Jediné, čo ešte môžem dodať je, že som neuveriteľne vďačná za príležitosť aj nejakým málom prispieť k šťastnejším sviatkom tým, ktorí to naozaj potrebujú. Pretože ak chceme zmeniť veci k lepšiemu, musíme začať od seba.
Na záver stačí už len vyjadrenie pána Čajka, učiteľa aplikovanej ekonómie: Som šťastný, že som už niekoľko rokov súčasťou vzdelávacieho programu Junior Achievement Slovensko n.o., predmetu Aplikovaná ekonómia. Emócie nás sprevádzajú celým životom, sú jeho súčasťou. Silný emotívny zážitok, ktorý sme dnes s mojimi žiakmi mali, si budeme dlho niesť vo svojej mysli a srdci. Dali sme Vianoce tým, ktorí to naozaj potrebujú.
Tento projekt ukázal, že Eaglet, študentská spoločnosť v Evanjelickom gymnáziu v Tisovci má nielen veľký potenciál, ale má aj veľké srdce.

Eaglet in a refugee camp

On the 18th of December, 2014, the members of the student company Eaglet went to a refugee camp in Opatovská Nová Ves. Although this event was organized for the fourth time, this year’s students did not know what to expect from this trip. Even though we prepared for this charity event, organized a successful collection and prepared a short program, none of us were prepared for the emotions with which we met.
As we found out as soon as we arrived at the camp, we were being eagerly awaited. They helped us with the full bags which we brought for them, then we met face to face in the living room with people from different parts of the world - for example, Syria, Vietnam or Afghanistan.
At first we were all a little shy, but after a short program and snacks the atmosphere relaxed. We heard about difficult life stories of the refugees, but even though their lives were so hard, we did not see it on their faces. All we could see were their smiles and kindness.
The nicest part was the children who danced and sang to us and hugged us really tight when we were leaving. I can say that after a while, I felt like a member of their small community. When we boarded the car, still full of impressions and emotions, we combined similar ideas.
Alex said: It was an emotional experience for me, and it touched me how people can enjoy the simple things. Vanesa agreed: For me too, it gave me a lot, and I realized how lucky we are. Kika added: Thanks to people like these, one realizes everything that he has, but there were also those who focused on happy memories. For example, Silvia emphasized: I was very pleased that these people can still smile.David also agreed with Frederik: This experience taught me that even those who need help themselves, want to please others. It is important to appreciate even the smallest things because we can lose them in a second.
The only thing I might add is, that I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a happier Christmas for those who really need it. Because if we want to change things for the better, we must
start with ourselves.
Finally, a few words from Mr. Čajko, the teacher of applied economics: I am happy being a part of this for several years, as a part of the educational program Junior Achievement Slovakia and subject Applied Economy.
Emotions are carried with us throughout our entire lives, they are a part of us. The strong emotional experiences, which were gained today with my students, will carry for a long time in our minds and hearts. We gave Christmas to those who really needed it.
